Patterns of Portugal with Kellee Wynne Conrad
Saturday, October 12th from 10:00AM to 5:00PM
Join Kellee for her new mixed media project where we will explore layers from another time. Patterns from Portuguese tiles are the main source of our inspiration as we create backgrounds for our window or door images. Learn to carve your own stamp from pink rubber that you’ll then be able to use it to create more pattern paper to use in your project.
Kellee will guide you through the stamp design process, how to transfer and cut your design to make clean images for your rubber stamps. She will then help you explore the collage process of mixed media and all the many ways to add patterns to your artwork with paint and paper. We will then finish with either a sketch or transfer of a beautiful vintage door or window for your final focal point. Learning these techniques will become invaluable to your mixed media process and can be applied in hundreds of new and exciting ways.
