Eclectic Envelopes with Linda Edkins Wyatt

We will paint, stamp and emboss various papers to create unique, individualized A2 size envelopes! (An A2 size template will be provided.) These handmade envelopes can be mailed or used for gift cards and keepsakes.
Cost: $ 38.00
Lightweight, smooth paper (painted deli paper, gelli prints, artists paper, scrapbook paper, magazine pages) Minimum size 8.5” x 11” (some paper will be provided.) You do not need to purchase new paper, please use up what is in your “stash” (Watercolor paper will be too heavy)
Acrylic paints (I like cyan, magenta, black, yellow & white and you can mix almost any color from these 5 basics)
Paintbrushes (any size you like using. I like a .5 cm round and .75 inch flat)
Rag, baby wipes or paper towels
Versamark stamp pad
Embossing powder (whatever you like. I love black, white, pale blue, rust and gold)
A few of your favorite decorative stamps and stencils (a selection will be available for your use during class)
Black archival ink pad
Sepia archival ink pad
Mouse pad, 1/8” thick or stamp mat
Golden heavy gel gloss
About the Artist
Linda Edkins Wyatt, a mixed media artist living in the heart of New York City, has been making art since childhood. She started her career as a textile designer and later became a layout and graphic designer. She enjoys using up bits and pieces of paper and fabric scraps in her journals, collages and paper dolls, and often incorporates recycled materials into her art.
Linda has had artwork and articles published in the books Mixed Media Self Portraits, 1000 Artist Journal Pages, and Quilts and Health. Her work has appeared in the magazines Cloth Paper Scissors, Quilting Arts, and Scott Publications Just Mixed Media, Just Swap Art, and Just Steampunk.
