There are so many great washi tapes, but one of our very favorite brands at The Ink Pad has got to be MT, who make high quality tape in just about any design you could possibly imagine. Tape is fantastic for accents and for actually attaching things, but have you ever used it to make your own custom patterned paper? It's easy and fun!
To make tape into a beautiful background, just cut your white cardstock (because most tapes are sheer and the cardstock will show through!) to size and apply the tape neatly in strips, wrapping the ends around to the back. You can get different looks by applying the tape horizontally, vertically or diagonally on your paper. When your cardstock panel is covered, you can use it exactly like any other type of cardstock or patterend paper.
For these samples I've used Animal Tape, Hougan Berrmousse (Checked), Half Circle Pink and Blue, and Lineup x Kapitza (Circles), but The Ink Pad has soooooo many styles and we get new ones all the time!
To turn my panels into cards, I paired them up, added mats, and some Meri Meri Gold Glitter Alphabet Stickers to the "Hello" card and a Dylusions Bigger Back Chat sentiment to the other and that was it.
I hope you'll be inspired to use your own tape collection to make some fast and easy cards; or treat yourself to some beautiful MT Tapes from The Ink Pad!
