It's amazing what a difference color makes, don't you think? Both of these cards use the same beautiful Impression Obsession stamp, "Mountain View"; one of The Ink Pad'smany (MANY!) wood-mounted stamps, which can be found in-store; or inquired for via phone or email; details below.
For the first card I applied a nice thick coating of Distress Oxide Inks in Bundled Sage at the top, the gorgeous new Rustic Wilderness in the middle and Chipped Sapphire at the bottom. I used a small brayer to lightly blend the inks, then stamped (with the aid of my trusty MISTI) onto a heavy cardstock panel covered with torn vintage paper from several Collage Packs. I added the sentiment in the upper right corner in Walnut Stain Oxide Ink and overstamped with my all-time favorite Tim Holtz "splatter" stamp, part of the Stampers Anonymous Spring Shadows set, which just happens to be in the SALE section!
For the second card I stamped with WOW Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Ranger White Embossing Powder. After the image had cooled completely, I applied VersaFine Clair in Charming Pink with a Nuvo Blending Sponge, taking care to work the ink well into the design; then used a damp tissue to clean the excess off the embossed trees. I stamped the sentiment onto an offcut of cardstock, trimmed it into a neat flag, and machine stitched around the edges.
There are more wood stamps featured in our Pinterest Board, Wonderful Woodmounts, and of course you can call (212.463.9876) email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or even arrange a personal FaceTime shopping trip to see the huge selection in the Chelsea Store!
