"To Craft or Not to Craft...

...is NEVER the question!" a fact we know very well at The Ink Pad, and so do the fine folks at Picket Fence Studios. Happily, they decided to include exactly that sentiment (plus eleven more!) in their Crafty Lifestyle Stamp Set
For today's card I've paired it with the art tools from PFS' Oh So Many Cards set. Probably my favorite thing about my MISTI is that I can arrange a bunch of stamps into a little cascade or cluster, then stamp and emboss all in one go. It's very useful if you need to repeat the design a bunch of times, too. I don't honestly love mass-producing, but I'll confess that I usually stamp a back-up copy, in case something happens during the coloring phase and I decide I need a do-over. This little collage is on top of a rainbow smooshed background made with six or seven lusciously bright colors from my Sorbet Scoops collection of Memento Dew Drops Ink Pads. I added a little extra detail with the first of a promised series of Maker Forte's The Hedgehog Hollow Splatter Squares (Style 1) that I inked up with coordinating shades of Karin Brushmarker Pros. I also used the Karins for the yellow area of my smoosh background, and for adding shades and highlights to the images on the card. I matted on American Crafts Holographic Cardstock, for a little extra sparkle; and a layer of black to draw the eye directly to the sentiment.
Another great thing about the Oh So Many Cards set is that it has several awesome stamps which can be used on the back of one's cards, to let the recipient know who made the beautiful handmade work of art they are holding. I chose "Made with you in mind" and "Handmade by" along with the longer bit of text that sums up what many cardmakers secretly feel, lol: "While I was stamping, diecutting and coloring this card, all I could think about was how much you'd better keep it forever". The Crafty Lifestyle set also has some excellent shorter sentiments that could be used on full-sized cards; or on ATC's as I've done here.
I love both of these sets on their own, but I think I might actually love them exponentially more TOGETHER! Luckily they, and many more awesome stamps, dies and stencils by Picket Fence Studios, can be found at The Ink Pad!
