Picket Fence Studios' "Life Happens, Lashes Help" stamp set has seven (7!) sentiments and two images, but the one you notice immediately is the nearly life-sized pair of dramatically lashed eyes. So of course that's the first one I inked up, and it's the centerpiece of my card.
I tried several versions of coloring and embellishing, but let's face it, the eyes didn't need much help from me, so this card is pretty minimalist. I added a bunch of the smaller images from StencilGirl's "Butterfly Journeys" stencil by Carolyn Dube, using my current favorite Distress Oxide color, Kitsch Flamingo, and then stamped the largest of the sentiments on top and called it good.
I love how the card came out, but truthfully, it was not my first project idea when I saw these stamps. My first idea was BOOKMARK; so I decided to make one of those, as well. In this case, I did add color, in the form of more Distress Oxides, using Picket Fence Studios' Life Changing Blender Brushes. I like the idea that the bookmark might actually be reading the book while I'm not, lol.
There are lots more beautiful Picket Fence Studios' stamps, dies and stencils in The Ink Pad online store, you should probably check those out!
would not mind having
lashes like that!
