For cardmakers, the beginning of December gets taken over by Christmas or Hanukkah cards; but the end of December is all about Thank You cards! Here's a super colorful design that is fast and easy to make a bunch of, featuring Lawn Fawn's Thanks, Thanks, Thanksstamp set from The Ink Pad.
When Lawn Fawn says, "Thanks, Thanks, Thanks" they are not fooling around. In addition to the three larger sentiments (with coordinating dies available!) this set has 25 additional photopolymer clear stamps that can be arranged in a wide variety of ways. I decided to make a stacked set of words by lining about half of the stamps up on my MISTI, so I could try out a few different combinations of ink and embossing powder. In the end I kept it pretty simple, with VersaMark clear and Ranger Black.
After I had a nice bold embossed panel of sentiments, I added a background blend of Tattered Rose, Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks. I used the same colors, in reverse order, through Picket Fence Studios' Slim Line Dashes Stencil. I used the orange grid pattern from Lawn Fawn's Into the Woods Remix Petite Paper Pack for mats and did a little machine stitching to literally hold it all together.
If "Thanks, Thanks, Thanks" is not jumping out at you, we've got some other great stamp sets that would work really well, such as Mama Elephant's Thank You Wishes, Everyday Explorers Co So Much Gratitude, Waffle Flower Stitched Sentiments, Picket Fence Studios' Forgot to Say Thank You; or skip the making entirely and jump right to the thanking with Good Juju Ink Thank You Cards and Envelopes!
hopes that you had a really
wonderful holiday season!
