When presented with an absolutely beautiful stencil like Picket Fence Studios' Slim Line Basket Petals from The Ink Pad, my inclination is to use it boldly, all over the front of my card. But lately I've been starting to appreciate the concept of "less is more" so this time I've used just a small amount of the stencil, towards the center of my card, and let it feather out lightly towards the edges.
Salvaged Patina may be my favorite Distress Oxide at the moment; it's fresh not-quite-blue, not-quite-green aesthetic seems like the perfect summer shade! I used it as the background for a collage of Appree Lilac and Bracken Pressed Flower Stickers, clustered around a couple of Tim Holtz Wildflowers 2 Thinlits diecuts. The sentiment comes from Picket Fence's Fancy Congratulations Sentiments stamp set. Skinny mats of Rinea Foil in a perfectly coordinating shade of teal add one more little pop of color.
Slimline cards are still very much in vogue, and The Ink Pad has plenty of Slimline Cards and Envelopes and all theSlimline dies, stamps and stencils you could possibly need!
