The two newest Distress Colors from Ranger (Speckled Egg and Crackling Campfire) lend themselves beautifully to so many palettes, especially in the fall! Today I've paired them with stencils and stickers from The Ink Pad.
I laid down a background of Speckled Egg Distress Oxide and used Stencilgirl's Mixed Media Mail word art by Carolyn Dube to add layers of words on top in Frayed Burlap, Crackling Campfire and Chipped Sapphire, wiping the stencil between colors, to avoid contaminating the inks. I used an off-cut of the same soft blue panel to stencil my sentiment, "Inspiration Enclosed" and trimmed it into a little flag and set it aside.
The next layer consists of Everyday Explorers Co "Postal" Stickers (nearly the entire sheet!) in little clusters around the panel. I let some of the postage-stamp-sized stickers to flow off the edge, for a more dynamic design. I added the sentiment panel and one of The Ink Pad's own Butterfly Stickers; then matted on white and again on American Crafts' Cork with Glitter Specialty Paper, before mounting the whole design on an A7 card.
The Ink Pad has many more varieties of stickers, not to mention loads of beautiful StencilGirl designs... you should probably check those out!
