What do you get when you combine Dyan Reavley's signature snark with super-glam Pretty Pink Posh embellies? A card that's elegant and fun ...and on The Ink Pad Blog today!
My first instinct when faced with an entire 4x6 page of sentiment or alphabet stickers is often a wish to use the whole page. So... sometimes... I do! In this case I backed the Dylusions Bigger Back Chat sheet with a scrap of cardstock to make it a little sturdier, so it could be the background for my glamorous lady. The lady was cut out of an old, falling-apart sewing book, but could easily be swapped for a fabulous stamp, a fun stencil, a Pepin Fashion Sticker, or even a fussy-cut photo of a friend or relative who's having a special day!
The pink and blue background is a gel print that honestly was such a mess I nearly threw it out. But the colors were beautiful, so I stashed it away in the "might be good for diecuts" file, a decision I was really pleased about, when the pink of the print matched the lady perfectly. I chose one short sticker to be the featured "sentiment" and matted it with scraps of the same paper. By far the longest portion of making this card was individually gluing on alllllllllllll those tiny sequins, but it is my favorite thing, so I won't complain.
The Ink Pad's brick and mortar NYC store is still closed, of course; but going on behind the scenes during our enforced hiatus are loads of additions and improvements to The Ink Pad Online, where Mother's Day Gift Cards (and lots more!) are available!
really, really, really
