We're seriously crushing on these fun and stylish Manhattan Transit Authority products. They're perfect for journals and scrapbooks, of course; but they also make outstanding cards! We currently have four styles of MTA Tape and four different MTA Sticker Sets at The Ink Pad.
For these cards I've paired the tapes with Michelle Ward's exclusive Manhattan Map Stamp Set and the Mini Manhole Stamp Set, both of which are incredibly flexible and work in so many different designs. I've chosen my colors to coordinate with the tapes. I started by lining up strips of tape neatly on plain white cardstock cut to fit my A2 card fronts, so that I could wrap the ends around securely to the back.
The photo above shows the MTA Route Tape, MTA Map Tape, and MTA Ticket Washi. I also used the MTA Train Washi as an accent on my first card, which has Map Washi for a background and highlights Michelle Ward's Statue of Liberty against a tag stamped with Places in NY.
The second card has a Route Tape background and a Taxi against little cluster of manhole covers from the NYC Manhole Stamp Set and the Mini Manhole Set. All of the Michelle Ward cling stamp sets feature the same deeply-etched red rubber as the woodmount versions, so you can feel free to choose which versions you'd like based on your preference, knowing they are equal in size and quality!
You can find officially licensed MTA stationery products at The Ink Pad's Chelsea Store or by shopping The Ink Pad Online!
