There are few things more "merry" than Santa's sleigh, and when it comes to "little" stamps, it's definitely hard to beat Lawn Fawn, right?
The reindeer and sleigh from Lawn Fawn's Over the Mountain Borders are admittedly on the small side for building an entire card around, but luckily they pair perfectly with Concord & 9th's Seasonal Sayings and Picket Fence Studio's Reindeer Games 4" square background stamp. I stamped and embossed the latter several times (in VersaMark Ink with Ranger Black Embossing Powder and also WOW Opaque Bright White) before I hit on the "twist" of using Primary Pink Robin... but that's what made the whole card come together for me!
I used my MISTI to line up the two-part sentiment (which I stamped in Ranger's Jet Black Archival) and added a mat of soft robin's egg cardstock and one of Teal Sprinkle patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's Let It Shine paper pack. On such a simple card the details really count, so I did a little bit of machine stitching and popped a couple of my layers up on foam tape to add texture and dimension.
There's still time to make a few fun and simple stamped cards and of course there's ALWAYS time to send a gift card from The Ink Pad via email!!! ♥
is not always
such a minimalist!
