So this seems like the perfect time for a card that celebrates the end of the work week! Picket Fence Studios' Here is Where I Work cling stamp set from The Ink Pad has other sentiments, as well; covering everything from encouragement to congratulations to employee appreciation... and in a variety of interesting fonts. But this week, Friday is looking pretty good to me!
I stamped the office image from Here is Where I Work in VersaMark ink on Canson Watercolor Paper and used Walnut Stain Embossing Glaze for a look that's still neutral, but a little more interesting than basic black. I also stamped PFS' super-fun All Wired Up mini background several times and embossed in the same rich brown. I colored the image by scribbling several shades of my Karin Brushmarker Pros onto an acrylic envelope and then using awaterbrush to pick up the color and apply it to the image. I used a couple of Tim Holtz Mini Stencils and Distress Oxide Inks in Peeled Paint and Antique Linen to add a little bit of pattern to the wallpaper and carpet.
A craft knife easily removed the centers of the frame within the image, so I could add artwork in the form of butterflies from Pepin's Natural History Sticker Book. I taped together two repeats of All Wired Up (the images will line up at the edges if you trim them carefully!) and added it to the left side of my vintage index paper, then affixed the whole panel to a dark brown A7 card.
I hope your week has been a good one, but if not, take heart: it really IS almost Friday! ♥
would like next week to
feature NO SNOW!
