It's been a bit warmer here in the Northeast, and mercifully free of snow all week, which is definitely making life feel more cheerful. So this seemed like a good time to get out some StencilGirl Stencils, plus the brand new Kitsch Flamingo Ink from Ranger, and make something bright and fun.
Nathalie Kalbach's Deco Summit stencil from StencilGirl is a beautiful all-over pattern in any color, but by selectively applying Kitsch Flamingo, Fossilized Amber and Squeezed Lemonade Oxides it's even more dynamic. I shifted the stencil to add solid color to some of the scallops that had rays, and add rays to some of the solid scallops. I outlined parts of the design with a fine tipped Pitt Artist Pen and used both sizes of Carolyn Dube's Emotions and Feelings Alphabet (so-called because it matches all three of her Emotions and Feelings stencils from StencilGirl) to add the sentiment to a piece of vellum over the design. By folding the ends of the vellum around the edge of my A7 card, I could use ordinary tape to secure it to the back of the design, without worrying about it showing.
The Ink Pad has a huge selection of StencilGirl Stencils, there's sure to be one that is *perfect* for ytour next card or journal page!
