Introducing Rinea's most unique new product: Ghost Ink! Designed to be used with their amazing metallic foiled papers (of which The Ink Pad has a fabulous selection!) Ghost Ink actually removes a layer of color, rather than adding one, for quite a magical effect.
I positioned a bunch of the sentiments from Picket Fence Studios' Ways to Express Yourself stamp set on the MISTI, inked them with the Ghost Ink, and stamped in the same way I would have done with any other ink. After letting the stamped panel dry for about 15 seconds (as recommended in the instructions printed on the ink pad) I burnished with a paper towel and the sentiments appeared even more clearly. I found that while the "lifted" color somewhat stained the clear stamps, it didn't interfere in any way with my using them afterwards with various other inks.
I matted the purple metallic panel with a copper metallic panel and affixed it to a 5.5" square card. I used Altenew's Bold Alphabet Dies to diecut "OMG" from beautiful handmade Shizen Paper, backed with cardstock to make it just a tad sturdier. I stamped one of the PFS sentiments in Wilted Violet Distress Oxide (it coordinates perfectly with the Rinea purple metallic paper) and mounted both of those elements on some foam tape to add dimension... et voila!
Rinea's blog and social media have many inspiring ideas for using their Ghost Ink, dies, metallic papers and more in lots of creative projects. Next time, I'd like to try using the Ghost Ink Reinker to doodle on the metallic paper instead of stamping! (I'll let you know how that works out!)
loves trying new things!
