Did You Know?

April is National Card and Letter Writing Month! At The Ink Pad, we always want to do the WRITE thing; especially when it involves our favorite type of correspondence... snail mail! We'll be celebrating throughout the month of April, by showing off some of our favorite postal-centric products, starting with this super-fun Hero Arts US Mailbox die set!
I cut the mailbox and trio of envelopes from Craft Consortium Grunge Papers, and lightly inked the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. To make the details of the mailbox a little more prominent, I outlined with a fine-tipped black Pitt Artist Pen. The sentiment is three different stamps from Lawn Fawn's Long Distance Hugs stamp set, which I placed on an acrylic blog together and stamped in Black Archival on some glossy white tags. I built a collage background of vintage and found papers and added the mailbox, surrounded by diecut envelopes and a few Eyelet Outlet Mail Brads; then popped the whole thing on a kraft A6 card. I had a few envelopes (and tags!) leftover, so I tried out a few of my newest washi selections: 10th Anniversary Noble Note Tape (in Turquoise), and MT for Pack Letters Tape (which is strong and sturdy enough to go on the outside of packages)!

We'll be celebrating Snail Mail throughout the month of April, with stamps, dies, envelopes and fun additions like washi, sealing wax, postage and more; so stay tuned!
