Despite the fact that we've had quite a mild winter here in the Northeastern US, I think by now we are all longing for Spring to arrive and flowers to bloom! For those of us who are especially impatient, luckily there are Rubber Stamp Tapestry Peg Stamps from The Ink Pad, with which we can produce our own blossoms, on demand!
This set is called Hummingbird Patio and ironically enough, the lovely hummingbirds are the only stamps I didn't use.
Tiny stamps can be daunting, until you start thinking at their scale. Rather than stamping right on an A2 cardfront... (which'd be quite a lot of area to fill when your largest stamp is a 3/4" circle!) ...why not add a pot and some foliage to several small offcuts of cardstock; then trim them down into squares which can be matted and clustered together. Using multiple shades of ink gives each plant more dimension and a few pen details (awesome Emott Fineliners have just arrived!) make the images pop even more. At last, for a bit of texture and extra interest, some Eyelet Outlet Mini Brads finish the whole thing off nicely.
Everything you need to make your own bloomin' awesome cards can be found at The Ink Pad's Chelsea location and of course via The Ink Pad Online!
